Experimentally Identifying the Influences of Key Parameters for an Organic Rankine Cycle Using R123

As an efficient energy conversion technology, the organic Rankine cycle (ORC) has been widely applied in medium- and low-grade heat sources. In order to explore experimental performance of ORC reveal effects operation parameters, setup was built R123 selected as working fluid. experiments, source temperature well mass flow rates fluid cooling water were controlled. Under design conditions, net work efficiency can, respectively, reach up 0.55 kW 8.7%. for influences key with increase from 130 °C 160 °C, involved a small increase, while increases 0.44 kW, greatly 6.71% 8.72% at rate 25 g/s. water, it similar impact on performances. The difference is that effect relatively smaller. At g/s, when 0.68 kg/s 0.83 kg/s, varies 0.46 range 7.41~9.4%. Furthermore, except efficiency, all performances are proportional test range, among different less than 0.7%.
